A defining feature of Napa Valley’s winter landscape is the mustard plant. Our refresh of the Reynolds label renders the mustard flower as a 19th century field drawing. Like winemaking, botanical illustration requires the interpretive skill of an artist and the technical focus of a scientist. 

We worked with an accomplished painter specializing in flora and fauna to create a series of mustard plants complete with accompanying butterflies and insects. The typography references old Audubon posters and other 19th Century prints with additions of a scientific numbering system and Latin captions.
