El Tequileño has been a family business right in the town center of Tequila, and a favorite of locals since it was established in 1959. In order to reach a new global market outside of Mexico, our client wanted to modernize the packaging which hadn’t changed in decades. We respected the original design but added premium cues and a modern touch worthy of the juice quality and price point. The full suite of products include the core Platinum, Reposado and Añejo tequilas as well as packaging for the limited edition Reposado Rare and two value tequila offerings made famous by the Batanga cocktail.

Elements
We paid respect to many of the original branding elements by redrawing the curved El Tequileño logotype, agave plant and wax seal. Typography stays very traditional and refined, letting the logo do the talking.
