Package Design

A Land of Muses is an experimental gin from Matchbook Distilling in upstate New York. Botanicals collected from around the globe are combined with local ingredients and distilled with care using the distiller’s original recipes. A whimsical abstract illustration plays off the brand name and evokes the sun setting over oceans and hills, a call to discovery and inspiration.

An eclectic mix of typography and color helps convey the sense of global exploration with a slight nod to mid-century aesthetics. The primary botanical ingredients are listed on the label of each expression. The abstact sun and waves graphic is embossed with a spot high build for added texture.
